Pet Day at School

学校宠物日

Yesterday we brought our pets to school. They made a lot of noise.

昨天，我们把自己的宠物带到学校里。动物们发出很大的噪音。

Mr. McGrath said,  "Quite down, dogs! Lie down, cats!"

麦克格拉斯先生不停地说道：“狗狗们，安静！躺下，猫咪们！”

We tried to help Mr. McGrath. My big dog got excited. She barked and barked. One cat scratched Jose"s little dog. Even the ferret was making noise! Jenny didn"t have any trouble with her pets. She had three big goldfish.

我们尽力帮助麦克格拉斯先生。我的大狗狗很兴奋，它汪汪地叫个不停。一只猫扑上去抓乔斯的小狗，就连雪貂也在吵闹！只有詹妮的宠物——三只大金鱼，没有制造任何麻烦。

 "You have wonderful pets, Jenny."  Mr. McGrath said.

麦克格拉斯对詹妮说：“你的宠物真是太棒了！”

Finally, we all took our pets outside. Except Jenny, of course!

最后，我们不得不把各自的宠物带到外面去。当然，詹妮除外！

Our Class Play

班级出演

Our class play is coming up next month, and everyone should help make it a success. It is true that not everyone can act in the play because there are not enough parts. Also, some students do not enjoy appearing on stage. Still, there is something for everyone to do. Those who do not wish to be on the stage can find plenty to do behind the scenes. One such job is making scenery. Any student who likes to build can give time to this important job. We"ll need staircases, walls, and street lamps for Act I. For Act II we"ll need scenery that looks like a beach.

我们的班级演出下个月即将开演，每个人都得为演出成功尽一份力。当然并不是每个人都在台上演出，因为并没有太多的角色。此外，有些学生也不喜欢登台表演。但是仍然有一些事人人都能做。那些不喜欢登台表演的学生在幕后有很多事可做。布景就是其中之一。任何喜欢构建的人都可以花时间来做这项重要的工作。在演出第一幕时，我们需要楼梯、墙、路灯。演第二幕时，我们需要场景看上去像海滩。

Another important job is making costumes. Students who enjoy different kinds of clothes will have fun with this job. We"ll need some special hats, some jewelry, and some old-fashioned beach clothes.

另一项重要的工作是服装。喜欢不同款式服装的同学做这项工作肯定会乐此不疲。我们需要一些特殊的帽子、珠宝和一些老式的海滩服饰。
