A powerful winter storm has been dumping snow and ice, creating misery across much of the upper Midwest. Ten inches of snow fell at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, canceling numerous flights. And the storm is moving east, threatening New England.
Despite a flurry of diplomatic efforts, Israeli warplanes continue pounding targets in Gaza and the Israeli military appears ready for an even bigger push against Hamas, while over 800 Palestinians have died in the 2-week offensive, many of them civilians.

The Baltimore Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals are one step closer to the Super Bowl. The Ravens defeated the Tennessee Titans 13-10 and the Cardinals beat the Carolina Panthers 33-13.
